Since September 19th, 8pm, our association has officially been registered with the Amtsgericht Bonn.

As a reward for the FrogLabs tutors at FrOSCon 2014, <a href="http://www.oreilly.de/"> O'Reilly Verlag</a> is providing book and e-book vouchers. Further collaborations are also being envisaged.

Langer Tisch 2014 (Wuppertal)

(Editor's notice: This post was written by our junior member Sascha (aged 12) who organised and led the exhibition at Langer Tisch by himself.)

On June 28th, 2014 we will be exhibitors at Langer Tisch in Wuppertal.

There will be <a href="http://minetest.net"> Minetest </a> contest and a mini Freedroidz workshop. We will present a robot that dunks bananas into chocolate sauce and a toothbrush machine (for all children that have tried the chocolate bananas ☺).

Last weekend, we successfully presented the Freedroidz project at the LEGO fair "ABSolut Steinchen" at the <a href="http://www.fh-bonn-rhein-sieg.de">Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences </a> . Apart from Nik, our junior members Sascha and Tim and our guest Justin (all of them students of our partner school in Remscheid) formed the team. The three built robots on-site using everything provided by the Freedroidz project and informed children and young adults about our activities, such as the planned Freedroidz evenings at tarent or the upcoming <a href="https://www.teckids.org/froglabs.htm"> FrogLabs </a>.

The chocolate bananas of the prototype of the Banana-Barbara, a robot that automatically dips banana pieces in chocolate sauce, were particularly popular. Because of problematic relationships with physics, the prototype was not particularly independent, but the young visitors to our stand had all the more pleasure in fishing the fallen banananas out of the chocolate. The Freedroidz team will now improve the robot a lot until the next performance so that it doesn't need as much help with the preparation of the sweets ☺.

For the third time the LEGO fair "<a href="http://www.absolut-steinchen.de"> ABSolut Steinchen </a>" of LEGO-Modellbaufreunde Rheinland takes place at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences this year . Many LEGO enthusiasts from several European countries exhibit their architectural and technical constructions.

Sascha and Nico, our junior members and tutors, will present the Freedroidz project. At our booth, we will present the Mindstorms activites in the Bonn area and the upcoming FrogLabs camp, plus some robot projects. We will also probably offer a workshop on robots, bananas and chocolate ☺!
