Lanki.cloud ist die Cloud-Lösung des schul-frei-Projektes, welche die verschiedenen Software-Komponenten der Distribution miteinander verbindet.Dies geschieht komfortabel aus der Cloud; Ihre Schule muss sich daher keine Gedanken um die Anschaffung von zusätzlicher Server-Hardware machen.Dabei müssen nicht alle Software-Komponenten der Lanki.cloud verwendet werden, denn durch die Offenheit des Quellcodes und die Pflege gemeinsamer Standards mit den Support-Unternehmen kann auch andere Software in die Lanki.cloud eingebunden werden.Wenn Sie also beispielsweise schon ein Schulverwaltungssystem an ihrer Schule verwenden, kann dies ohne Probleme in die Lanki.cloud mit eingebunden werden.
Der Teckids e.V. betreibt verschiedene Dienste, die alle mit einem [Teckids-Account](https://ticdesk.teckids.org/account/register)verwendet werden können.
Unter [edugit.org](https://edugit.org) können Software- (und andere)Projekte verwaltet werden. EduGit basiert auf GitLab und bietet damit auch Funktionen wie einen Issue-Tracker und das erstellen von Gruppen für Projekte mit mehreren Entwicklerinnen und Entwickler.
Anmelden kann man sich mit seinen Teckids-Daten. Zum einfachen Umschauen in den öffentlichen Projekten, ohne Anmeldung, gibt es [die Erkundungs-Seite von EduGit](https://edugit.org/explore).
Gekoppelt an EduGit steht unter [translate.edugit.org](https://translate.edugit.org) eine Weboberfläche basierend auf Weblate zur Übersetzung von Projekten auf EduGit zur Verfügung.
Das freie Protokoll Matrix bietet die Möglichkeit, anbieterunabhängig zu kommunizieren.Der Referenzclient Element funktioniert auf allen gängigen Betriebssystemen, sowohl mobil, als auch am Computer und im Webbrowser unter [matrix.teckids.org](https://matrix.teckids.org). Um sich mit einem Teckids-Account in Element anzumelden, wenn nicht der Browser-Client verwendet wird, muss darauf geachtet werden, einen benutzerdefinierten Server auszuwählen, nicht matrix.org. Dann gibt man "matrix.teckids.org" ein, wählt im nächsten Dialog "Anmelden" aus und kannst sich dann mit deinem Teckids-Benutzernamen und -Passwort anmelden.
Als weitere Plattform gibt es XMPP. Für Android gibt es die App [Conversations](https://conversations.im), die über den freien App-Store [F-Droid](https://f-droid.org) kostenlos erhältlich ist. Für iOS gibt es die App [Siskin](https://siskin.im), auf GNU/Linux- oder BSD-Systemen [Dino](https://dino.im) und für Windows [Gajim](https://gajim.org). Beim Anmelden sollte man wieder darauf achten, den bestehenden Account auf merucrius.teckids.org zu verwenden. Die XMPP-Adresse ist der Teckids-Benutzername, gefolgt von "@mercurius.teckids.org".
