Veripeditus soll vor allem für Bildungszwecke verwendet werden. In der Schule könnt ihr damit schnell einfache Spiele programmieren und diese draußen ausprobieren. Ihr macht eine Klassenfahrt? Super! Programmiert einfach vorher ein kleines Spiel zusammen und erkundet damit die Stadt :)! Ihr lernt somit gleichzeitig Programmieren und andere Fächer. Baut doch kleine Rätsel ins Spiel ein. Mathematik, Biologie oder andere Themen lassen sich leicht einbauen.
Der <a href="https://www.teckids.org"> Teckids e.V.</a> bietet zur Einführung einen gemeinsamen Projekttag an. An diesem Projekttag können Lehrer und Schüler die Programmiersprache Python und Veripeditus näher kennen lernen.
Git-Hosting-Dienste gibt es wie Sand am Meer, doch alle haben ein Problem: Ihre Nutzungsbedingungen bzw. das US-amerikanische Gesetz, unter dem die meisten dieser Dienste betrieben werden, schließen die Nutzung durch Kinder und Jugendliche unter 13 Jahren, oft sogar unter 18 Jahren, aus. Dies wollen wir mit EduGit ändern - denn EduGit und seine Nutzungsbedingungen ermöglichen es auch Minderjährigen ausdrücklich, in dem Moment, in dem sie ihren ersten Beitrag in einem Projekt einbringen möchten, auch mitmachen zu dürfen.
EduGit kann sowohl von Softwareprojekten, die im weitesten Sinne mit Bildung zu tun haben und Beiträge von jungen Nutzern und Kollaboratoren wrmöglichen wollen, als auch von allen Projekten, die Git für ihre edukative Arbeit nutzen möchten, verwendet werden.
