Am 25. April 2020 fand der virtuelle <a href="http://openeducationday.ch/"> Open Education (Half-)Day </a> (OED) statt. Bei dem OED treffen sich Interessierte an Freier Software und freien Unterrichtsmaterialien und tauschen sich aus. Dabei durften wir den technischen Gastgeber spielen.
Der OED findet normalerweise in der Schweiz statt und ist ein Angebot verschiedener Organisationen, vor allem des Vereins <a href="https://www.ch-open.ch/"> CH Open </a> . Allerdings konnte er aufgrund der aktuellen Lage nicht dort stattfinden. Deshalb fand er online statt. Wir haben hierfür unseren Dienst <a href="http://bbb.teckids.org"> BigBlueButton </a> zur Verfügung gestellt. Mit verschiedensten Funktionen konnten die Referenten ihre Inhalte vorstellen und auch mit den zeitweise bis zu 200 Teilnehmenden interagieren.
Über drei Stunden hinweg konnte man an verschiedenen Vorträgen und Workshops teilnehmen. Auch wir haben einen Vortrag gehalten, bei dem wir das Projekt <a href="https://schul-frei.org/"> schul-frei </a> vorstellten und anderen von der Arbeit des Projektes erzählten. Auch Juniormitglieder haben bei dem Vortrag mitgewirkt und konnten einige Zuhörer begeistern. Aufgrund der COVID-19-Ausbreitung werden flächendenkend Schulen geschlossen und Lehrerende und Lernende müssen sich über das Internet verständigen.Hier zeigen wir Lehrkräften (kosten)freie Tools, welche helfen können, den Unterricht auf Entfernung zu gestalten.
Jitsi Meet ist eine Webanwendung für Audio- und Videokonferenzen, welche Lehrerende und Lernende für den Online-Unterricht verwenden können.Dabei kann in einer Kachelansicht jeder Teilnehmende die Übertragungen der Anderen sehen. Mit einem Klick auf das Handsymbol ist auch ein "Aufzeigen". An Stelle des Videos kann auch der Inhalt des Bildschirms oder eines einzelnen Fensters freigegeben werden.Über einen Chat können auch textbasierte Informationen, wie z.B. Links, geteilt werden.
Neben der [offiziellen Instanz](https://meet.jit.si/) stellt der Teckids e.V. eine Jitsi-Meet-Instanz zur Verfügung, die insbesondere im Bildungsbereich genutzt werden darf. Die Adresse lautet [meet.teckids.org](https://meet.teckids.org). Jitsi Meet kann an Desktopgeräten im Browser oder auf Smartphones mit dem Jitsi-Meet-App aus den App Stores benutzt werden.
Nein, Jitsi Meet funktioniert ohne Account. Es genügt, den Link zu dem entsprechenden Konferenzraum zu verteilen bzw. für die Teilnehmenden, diesen anzuklicken und im Browser den Zugang zu Mikrofon und Kamera zu gewähren.
